We often get asked to adopt more of the street dogs that we feed on the streets. But the reality is, five dogs means five sets of vaccinations, sterilizations, constant flea and tick prevention, parasite treatment, and the ordinary vet visits that never stop. The bills add up fast, and there are always more mouths to feed than the ones already accounted for.

We continuously strive to do better for these local street dogs. Each meal, each moment of love and connection is a way of making their day better than it would have been.

We will continue to welcome dogs on to our land, but we can’t do it without your continued support. Every fund raised moves this closer to something larger: a larger, permanent enclosure here at Bodhi Mente, space to house more dogs long-term, and a facility where guests can come and take part directly in feeding, walking, caring for the dogs who call it home, and becoming an active part of the Bodhi Mente Street Dog Fundación themselves.
