Each villa is equipped with wildlife binoculars, and our local birding experts offer tips and guided tours to help you uncover the rich avian life of the region.

Wildlife Encounters

Los Flamencos Sanctuary in La Guajira is home to a stunning colony of pink flamingos, ibises, terns, and migratory shorebirds. Set around the tranquil Navío Quebrado lagoon, it offers breathtaking wildlife views. Guided by the Wayuu Tocoromana community, you’ll explore the "Mainshirutshi" trail, learning about traditional plant uses and the land's cultural significance. The best time to visit is during the dry seasons or late fall for larger flamingo gatherings.

Flamingos In The Wild

Minca, located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, is a hidden gem for birdwatching enthusiasts. Surrounded by lush forests and diverse ecosystems, it’s home to an impressive array of species, including hummingbirds, the elusive Santa Marta bush-tyrant, and the striking golden-breasted starfrontlet.
